At some point in everyone's spiritual path they develop a desire to know the name of their higher self or their angel name. I don't believe they are looking for an "identity" which is what a name implies in our language. Rather, they are at that point seeking a universal signature through sound. Our culture uses archetype symbols we call letters. So our signature would be expressed through a series of letters, which we call a "name."

I was reading a book a number of years ago that suggested discovering your higher self's name or signature. I had an open channel of communication with that part of me, but it had never occurred to me to seek out "its" name. So, I asked in meditation what that name is. ISHERA (pronounced ee-she-ra) is the name that was given.

The word felt familiar. It also felt like it had more meaning, a deeper meaning that I should know. I worked the name every which way I could think of; that is phonetically, numerologically, glyphically; to no avail.

About a year later I was doing a lot of research preparing for a trip to Egypt. I was reading Robert K. G. Temple's, "Sirius Mystery" when there on the pages in front of me was the word, "Ishera." I nearly dropped the book off my lap. Temple explained the word is from the sanskrit language and means, "Ray of God's Light." Sanskrit is an ancient language that originated in Persia and is considered to be the root language for Hebrew.

So, there I had it, Ishera—Ray of God's Light. My universal signature of I Am.
