Maker of Light
This was a fun piece to make. It was an expression of how I felt during this very creative time in my life... one hand drawing inspiration from the heavens while the other was manifesting wonders in the physical plane. Or was it drawing from the material world and transforming it into the purest radiance of heaven.

Oh, right... it was both.

I've noticed my linear mind tends to work in one direction at a time - here to there, then to now, and so on. But there are moments of calm or great excitement - moments of transcendence, really - where you can become aware of a simultaneous flow to and from both directions. It's not an easy thing to envision (kinda like thinking about infinity) and it doesn't "force" well.

By that, I mean you can't MAKE yourself feel that simultaneous flow. It's more like relaxing into a really full bathtub - if you force it you just get water all over the place. But if you ease into it, gently accepting the rising waters and working to integrate with them, then you can perceive the flow from both earth to heaven and back again.

The remarkable thing is that it happens through us all the time, with or without our conscious awareness. It's the dynamic force the harmony of the cosmic symphony, the tone of string... it's the music we make just by being alive.

Imagine what music we could make if we knew what we were doing.
