FIRE
Given the name of this studio, it will come as no surprise that this is a favored piece in the series. In contrast to the precision of AIR, the Fire crystal is more wild and random, an instant of flame caught in a crystal moment. The element of the South, of energy and dynamic action, and of the archangel Michael, the crystal matrix is framed by (and radiates) the triangle, the traditional alchemical symbol for the element.

The Elemental Series
The intention behind this series of work was to capture the essence of each of the elements using a crystalline matrix as the "medium". The colors of each piece are consistent with hermetic symbolism, with each of the three prime elements (air, fire, and water) being represented by the three pairs of contrasting colors in the color spectrum (yes, there are only six colors in the spectrum... Newton created Indigo so there would be seven colors, a more spiritually solid number).
